Just relax! How many times have you heard that lately? Stress is a part of life and situations come up that can really test your level of calm, cool and collectedness. Hopefully you’re able to manage stress in your life with good nutrition, whole food supplements, herbs, exercise, prayer, etc. but you may need something extra. Enter essential oils! I love aromatherapy for being there when I need instant relief from stress. It’s like a great song on the radio that can turn your mood on a dime. Essential oils can instantly bring a calmness like a warm sunny day or a picture of a baby. This DIY blend that I’m calling Xana-Calm is great on its own in a diffuser or as a perfume when mixed with a carrier oil in to a roll-on applicator like this one. You can either use two blends, Balance and Serenity from doTERRA mixed together or the individual oils. These oils are: lavender, sweet marjoram, roman chamomile, ylang ylang, sandalwood, spruce, rosewood, frankincense, blue tansy, with vanilla bean extract in fractionated coconut oil. You can purchase most of the individual oils from either Mountain Rose Herbs, Aura Cacia or doTERRA. It is way cheaper to buy the blends and more effective because of how concentrated and specific it is. The oils are gentle and can be used on adults. For children, only use as aromatherapy unless you are trained in essential oils. While many oils are find in a carrier oil on the skin, most are beneficial just as aromatherapy.
