13 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, I did not do much research on how I would feel after giving birth. I thought all the pain would be during labor, but I was mistaken.
Birth is meant to be a beautiful, natural process but it’s not without pain and discomfort. From tearing or episiotomies to bruising and soreness, herbs are amazing for bringing sweet relief.
DIY Soothing Mama Bottom Spray combines witch hazel, aloe vera, essential oils and a few other ingredients to help relieve postpartum discomfort. This recipe is very customizable and can be infused with herbal oils or even herbal tea infusions.
To keep things simple, I’ve put together a recipe inspired by Earth Mama Angel Baby’s New Mama Bottom Spray that you can make yourself.
DIY Soothing Mama Bottom Spray
Help ease your way into motherhood by making a bottle of soothing mama bottom spray prior to giving birth. It will be so helpful to have on hand!
I get all my essential oils from doTERRA. I love their quality and they work very well in my DIY products. You can purchase them here.
All of the other ingredients, including the bottle can be purchased from my favorite herbal store, Mountain Rose Herbs.
